Last Tuesday night saw Hollywood injected with a little old school glamour courtsey of Miu Miu. Darlings of the big screen came together in Los Angeles, in a 1920's mansion, for the screening of the second of a series of films created for the MiuMiu brand.

Decorated to resemble an abandoned film the set, the background featured a vintage yellow car in the driveway, and old camera equipment and lights strewn about. The house was filled with period furnishings, including a cocktail bar resembling an ocean liner (where Champagne was served in old school coupes), decorative bell jars displaying flora and fauna, and a stuffed wolf standing menacingly in the foyer. A cigarette girl made her rounds with a display of Miu Miu's newest sunglasses from the Noir collection. Not available until September though, so it was very much you can look but not touch !

The Italian fashion house's latest short film "Muta"(a combination of the word Mute and the word transformation) was directed by Argentinian director Lucrecia Martel and is the second film to celebrate the femininity of the Miu Miu brand. I will admit on first seeing the film, it was a little creepy. Robot like models are running around an Ocean Liner in luxurious Miu Miu, forties inspired dresses, Mary Jane boots and cat eyed sunglasses.

See the film for yourself at http://www.miumiu.com/en/wtales/2

 Enjoy xx
